Batavia Girls Tennis Team Wins Third Match in a Row

Tuesday, the Batavia Girls Tennis team continued their winning ways by crushing Greece Odyysey 6-1 at Basil A. Marella Park in Greece. The team has won three in a row to improve to 3-1 on the year.

Amy Schmidt beat Nina Torres 6-4, 6-3 at first singles, Michelle Richenberg crushed Alyssa Dunne at second singles 6-0, 6-0, and Lisa Ferkingoff easily beat Bria Juda at 3rd singles 6-1, 6-1.

Nicole Guilds continues to dominate at 4th singles where she routed Shannon Muerb 6-1, 6-1 while delivering 9 aces.  In her first four matches Guilds has outscored her opponents 48-6!

At  first doubles Maryssa Peirick and Robin Clemm defeated Miranda Fischetto and Jen Zarozynski 6-3, 6-2 and at third doubles Laura Mullen and Mariah Brennen beat Laura Webb and Emma Schailbe 6-0, 6-3.

The team hosts Monroe County powerhouse Brighton today at 4:30.
