This is a reader submitted photo from the scene of an accident this afternoon in Corfu. We are told a motorcycle hit the van on the left side of the picture. We have no further information at this time about the accident.

The van pictured above was traveling west bound on rt 33. The motorcycle was traveling north bound on rt 77. The van passed through the red light and made contact with the motorcycle. Both vehicles sustained a good amount of damage and were removed by flatbed from the scene. No one in the van was injure. The driver of the motor cycle was treated for a minor hand injury by Corfu EMS. He then refused transport by Mercy Medics. Witnesses at the scene told me the man on the motorcycle flew 5 to 6 ft in the air after being struck.
