Katheryn E. Palmer, a senior at Byron-Bergen High School, is one of two students selected to receive a scholarship from the Greater Rochester, New York Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction.
The other recipient is Julie Morningstar, a senior at Churchville-Chili High School.
Katheryn plans to attend SUNY Alfred College to study architectural technology.
For more than 50 years, NAWIC has been helping women take advantage of the opportunities in construction. The organization's mission is to establish a network base, mentor and provide educational and professional opportunities for women in construction.
