I happened to be driving down wortendyke right after this happened. I was stopped for a bit while they put a silver chevy onto a tow truck. Im not 100% sure what had happened but im assuming someone had slowed down to turn off of 33 and the other vehical did not see/nor stop. The back of the chevy cavalier was smashed right in, along with a pick up (who im assuming hit the car) on the side of the road waiting for the town truck to load them up next. Oil and gas were in the road and covered with im guess cat litter or whatever it is used to absorb the fluids. No glass in the road way (thank goodness) because i had to drive across it all.... AND Thankfully no one was hurt, everyone was standing around and no one was in the ambulance.
Yes, it was a rear-ender. A 17-year-old girl was taken by ambulance to UMMC, complaining of pain in a leg and her lower back. They do use kitty liter as an "absorbent" for roadway spills.
