Electrical wires and/or a transformer is reportedly arcing on Route 98, just north of Edgerton Road, in Elba. As a result, there is a power outage in the area. National Grid is being notified.
UPDATE 8:10 p.m.: Tree limbs have fallen on the wires of pole number 7318, causing the power disruption. A transformer is not involved, according to a responder on scene.
UPDATE 8:18 p.m.: National Grid is on location.
UPDATE 8:22 p.m.: Elba Fire Department responded to the scene and is now back in service.
