Today's Poll: Do you think Al Qaeda is still capable of pulling a significant attack in the U.S.?

"My weakly 2 cents"...I voted NO..
I don't have a TV anymore that's connected to the outside world....?
I thought they killed that crazy group of suicidal maniacs.?..Hasn't the government spent TRILLIONS of ,well,, Taxpayer funds to solve this problem..? .It's been over a decade,They threw the leader out to the fish I once heard.?
I was kinda stunned by the wayward yes votes on this poll..Are they still capable?
Do you really think so? have you prepared for this attack? Do you still go to big stadium sporting events and just wonder when the attack will begin? Please fill me In on what's going on?

Doug,

Two men (One of them no where near) blew up the Federal office building in Oklahoma

4 men filled a van with explosives and exploded it in the basement of the WTC in the 1990's

11 Men took over 4 aircraft and we had 9-11

There have been 175 documented cases of terror type arrest with individuals that have had, bombs, explosives, poisons etc accross the country since 2001, thankfully all stopped before they actually happened.

In each case before these events took place experts said events like those were unlikely.

The question as posed in the poll is a valid one

and a yes vote is not wayward, it is honest.

Hiding our heads in sand and saying that they can't do it, or being naive and believing that it isn't a real war is foolish.

The question was are they capable, Al Queda is more than Afganistan and Pakistan, think yemen, the sudan, libya, somlia, kenya, All of which have significant Al Queda present

Great point Mark, 17 people responsible for that much loss of life and total havoc inside our country.
I can't imagine anyone suggesting we even think of dropping our gaurd. We are an open society, which makes it that much easier for terrorists to strike.
