I don't know when I've heard anything more ridiculous. A law to dilute the least enforced law on state books? Are there people so desensitized as to have missed backyard explosions this (or any previous) summer... There is no EFFECTIVE ban on fireworks in this state. What we have is an EFFECTIVE ban on PROCURING fireworks in this state.
Frankly- we try to intervene, disconnecting potential Darwin Award winners from self-destruction, but some things are written. Where there's a will- there's a way.
