This dog is apparently lost in the area of Route 33, near the corner of Wortendyke Road, Batavia.

The reader who submitted the picture said Sheriff's deputies were unable to catch it last night and it's still loose in the area this morning. 

UPDATED: Lost dog with short, brindle-colored coat found on Pearl Street Road

This afternoon, a reader named Tracy Gaus submitted this photo of a lost dog and sent us this email:

"This very friendly dog was found wandering around our back yard (at) 3701 Pearl Street Road, Batavia. The dog does have a choke collar with a rabies tag. But no other ID. Can anyone help us find his home? I can be reached at (585) 409-0826."

UPDATE Friday, June 9, 2:37 p.m.: We are happy to report that shortly before 9 a.m. this morning, Tracy Gaus emailed us and told us the dog has been reunited with its family.

Found: Female chihuahua, this morning at Summit and North streets, Batavia

This female chihuahua was found this morning at the corner of Summit Street and North Street in the City of Batavia. She is extremely friendly, has a pink Aztec-design collar, but no dog tags. Description: Boxer/Lab Mix, Color: Deep Gray (Sable) with four white paws; white tip on tail; white markings on face and chest; white heart shape marking on back of neck. His name is Titan. Have you seen 'Max'?

Have you seen "Max"? He was last seen in Batavia on Friday, April 11. But not hide nor hair since.

His elderly owners live on Chandler Avenue, right across from the United Memorial Medical Center.

Max is a friendly little charmer who sports a red harness and is microchipped. He's a pekingese/poodle mix -- a "peekapoo." He's about 15-20 inches long and 15-20 pounds. If you know of his whereabouts, please contact Jen at 585-813-7108.

'Basom' is missing in Alabama

"Basom" is a black and white dog with smooth, short hair that's been missing since about 4 p.m. Friday. He was last seen in the vicinity of Alleghany and Ledge roads in Alabama.

He is 2 years old with tall pointy ears. He's mostly black, but has white markings on his neck, the tip of his tail, and all four paws.

He has on a black collar with a red, heart-shaped I.D. tag that says Banfield 2393672, Clay County, Fla.

Lost Dog

Reward:  My 3 year old peek a poo has been missing since 6 tonight. She is white and has fluffy curly hair she looks a lil shaggy because she needs to go to the groomer. She has brown eyes and her name is Lyla. Missing around the Ellicott Ave area. She got scared when my son fell down the stairs and bolted out the door. If you have any info please call, 813-6162.
