What started as a report of electric lines arcing is now believed to be a structure fire at 6296 Knowlesville Road, Alabama.
Alabama Fire has requested mutual aide from Oakfield Fire.
UPDATE 9:10 p.m.: Firefigher reports smoke pumping from a wall. They're going to open up the wall.
UPDATE 9:27 p.m.: Oakfield units back in service.
City Fire is being dispatched -- non-emergency -- to 130 Bank St., the scene of yesterday's fire for the smell of propane.
"The caller believes it's from a tank she relocated," according to the dispatcher.
A fire at 130 Bank St., Batavia, destroyed an old garage and the items inside and partially damaged a neighbor's garage.
The fire was reported about 10:45 a.m. when a resident came home and saw smoke coming from the garage. By the time fire crews were on scene, flames were visible.
The homeowner, a 47-year resident, said he lost an ATV, snow blower, two bikes and other equipment. While Chief Ralph Hyde said he suspected a wood-burning stove in the garage, the owner said he had recently cleaned the stove and it wasn't in use at the time. He suspected it was an electrical fire.
Kelly Herold, a claims supervisor for Tompkins Insurance, was on scene quickly meeting with her clients. She watched the City's firefighters move quickly to dose the flames.
“The Fire Department did a great job," Herold observed. "It was a good save. They were able to contain the fire to the barn with limited damage to the surrounding homes."

A blue Pontiac Trans Am is on fire with flames coming from the engine on the eastbound side of East Main Street between 400 Towers and Pizza Hut.
Firefighters are responding to a report of a possible house fire in Pavilion. There is reportedly fire inside a wall at a house located at 11072 South Lake Road -- Route 19, just north of Route 63, across from the old fire hall.
A second alarm has been called and there is visible smoke.
UPDATE 5:50 p.m.: Besides Pavilion, emergency responders are coming in from Alexander, York, Perry, Le Roy, Stafford, Bethany and a fast team from the Town of Batavia. The fast team from the City of Batavia was unavailable due to mechanical problems.
A clothes drier has been pulled from the wall. Fire seems to be contained within the wall behind the drier.
UPDATE 6 p.m.: Per Pavilion fire command, the fire is contained and all units are returning to service except Pavilion, a fill-in team from Wyoming County at the Pavilion Fire Hall and an ambulence from York.
UPDATE 6:28 p.m.: Fire is out, scene is clear, all units returning to service.
Elba Fire is being dispatched to 13 Chapel St. for a possible house fire.
There may be a fire in one of the walls of the residence.
A chimney fire has been reported at 6154 Main Road, Stafford, directly across from the Stafford Fire Hall.
UPDATE 6:05 p.m.: Fire is out.
East Pembroke Fire is being dispatched to a reported dump trailer fire at Ed Arnold's Scrap Yard on Angling Road in Corfu.
UPDATE 10:17 p.m.: First responder reports metal shaving burning inside of a dump container. Units asked to respond non-emergency.
UPDATE 10:21 p.m.: East Pembroke Fire picking up. "It's just metal shavings. It's not going to go anywhere."
Bergen Fire has responded to a report of a chimney fire at 5999 W. Sweden Road.
A responder reports that there were flames visible between the stove pipe and wall.
UPDATE: No visible flames from the roof. Interior firefighters are taking the pipe apart. Brockport's ladder truck has been released.
A dryer fire that is now believed to be out has been reported at 5857 Byron-Holley Road.
Byron and South Byron fire departments have been dispatched.
Bergen and Elba are requested to stand by and Town of Batavia Fast Team is asked to stand by.
UPDATE 12:05 p.m.: South Bryon back in hall, back in service.
UPDATE 12:10 p.m.: Byron back in service.
A Chevy Avalanche is on fire, fully involved, at 883 Route 20, Darien.
Darien Fire is responding. The firs responder reports that the driver says the truck has a full tank of gas.
"There's not much we can do with it now," the responder said.
A tractor trailer reportedly pulled off the Pembroke exit of the Thruway while on fire.
Indian Falls Fire is being dispatched.
An electrical box is reportedly smoking at 70 Main St., in Le Roy.
Le Roy Fire has been dispatched and mutual aid has been requested from Bergen.
UPDATE 8:16 p.m.: A police officer who entered the building reportedly told dispatch that there is no fire, but fuses keep popping.
UPDATE 8:20 p.m.: Firefighter on scene and says no smoke, no fire and the thermal camera shows no heat. Another firefighter, "it looks like the only problem is we've got a burnt fuse."
After a report of a large plume of smoke at Hanson Aggregates in Pavilion, a fire alarm went out for both Pavilion and Le Roy fire departments.
Once the the plume was discovered to be a Dumpster fire, Le Roy was ordered to stand down.
Corfu Fire is being dispatched to report of a house fire at 2491 Angling Road, Corfu.
Also dispatched, East Pembroke and Batavia Fast Team.
First responder: "We have a fully involved house fire."
UPDATE 6:33 p.m.: Angling Road at Route 33 is being shut down. Everybody is reported out of the house.
UPDATE 6:40 p.m.: A full crew from Corfu is on scene. The roads are ordered shut to traffic. Two hand-lines are requested.
UPDATE 6:44 p.m.: Fire knocked out; air ventilation under way.
UPDATE 7:02 p.m.: Report is now, "Fire contained to one small area."
UPDATE 9:14 a.m., Friday: We received a fire report from the Sheriff's Office. The house was a multi-unit dwelling owned by David Martino. The apparent cause of the fire was a space heater that overheated. Additional information left by firefighter Bruce Ross in a comment below, as well.

UPDATE (6:18 p.m.) The fire captain reports the fire is under control and engines are leaving the scene.

A car is on fire after hitting a deer on Route 262 in the area of Byron-Bergen School.
UPDATE 11:12 p.m.: The car is described as fully involved.
Flames are showing on the second floor at 199 Skye Road, Alabama.
Mutual aid was requested from Akron and Wilksonville, but both fire departments are tied up on another structure fire in Erie County.
A Pembroke tanker is now being dispatched to aid the Alabama Fire Department. Mutual aid is also being requested from Oakfield.
The fire is on the reservation of the Tonawanda Band of Seneca Indians, west of Alabama.
UPDATE 9:37 p.m.: Alabama first responder reports the house is fully involved. The house is two houses east of Council House Road.
UPDATE: 9:57 p.m.: Water tankers from Darien and Corfu have been requested to assist. Oakfield is on location.
UPDATE: 10:04 p.m. "We're on our last tanker at the scene," said a firefighter there now. Niagara-Mohawk, the power company, is traveling to the fire site, but Alabama #2 says "No truck can get past us." They need lights.
UPDATE: 10:20 p.m. "We should be good on water," says an official on scene, noting there are three water tankers at the location.
