Knit the Fibonacci Sequence

Richmond Memorial Library, 19 Ross St., Batavia presents “Knit the Fibonacci Sequence,” a class for adults on Tuesday, July 15 at 6:00 p.m.  Linda Daviau will lead this “stash buster” class for knitters who know how to knit and purl.  Learn some applications of the “golden ratio” found in nature, art & architecture to make a scarf.  Registration begins June 30.  Please bring size 8 or 9 needles and two colors of worsted weight yarn. Sun-Dye Tote Bag class for adults at Richmond library

Richmond Memorial Library, 19 Ross St., Batavia presents “Sun-Dye Tote Bag,” a craft class for adults taught by Jen Reardon, on Wednesday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m. Learn how to use a new product which uses a chemical reaction when exposed to sunshine to create a colorful, fabric tote bag. $8.00 for supplies is due at the time of registration. Spring Interactive Mini Album Class

Richmond Memorial Library, 19 Ross St., Batavia will present “Spring Interactive Mini Album Class” on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. Jenn Cascell will teach adults how to make this mini album that opens out in surprising ways. $5.00 is due at the time of registration. Join Kate Reigel at Richmond Memorial Library, 19 Ross St., Batavia on Thursday, November 29 at 6:00 p.m. to learn how to create a centerpiece with fresh greens, a candle, and ornamental picks.  Registration is required, and $12 is due at the time of registration.  Class size is limited.  Participants need to bring pruners or scissors. Mammogram, clinical breast exam, self-breast exam, and Pap smear testing are available to                      women over the age of 50 who are uninsured or underinsured. Childbirth Educational Classes

United Memorial Childbirth Classes prepare the pregnant mother and support person for the childbirth experience. Childbirth Education Program offers a six-week (two hour sessions) and a monthly eight-hour session (Friday evening and Saturday).  All classes are held in Cary Hall at 211 East Main St. , Batavia .  Call 344-5331 for more details or contact pcable@ummc.org.

MOMS Program

MOMS (Medicaid Obstetric and Maternal Service) is a prenatal education program for women who receive Medicaid or who are underinsured.  Pregnancy testing and counseling are also available. Call 344-5355 for more details or email shazlett@ummc.org.
