Justin J. Wheeler, 37, of Attica, is charged with driving with ability impaired by drugs and failure to keep right. Wheeler is accused of being involved in an alleged hit-and-run accident on South Main Street, Batavia, and was subsequently stopped on Route 98, Town of Alexander, for allegedly operating erratically. Thomas Anthony Sobczak, 45, of West Main Street, Corfu, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Sobczak was stopped on an unidentified road in Batavia at 2:45 p.m., Nov. 15, for allegedly following too closely behind a semi-trailer by Deputy Brian Thompson. Thompson reported allegedly finding marijuana and codeine in Sobczak's possession.

Jeffrey M. Kohorst, 22, of 6105 Main Road, Stafford, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 or greater and speeding. Kohorst was stopped at 9:51 p.m., Saturday, in the City of Batavia by Officer Kevin DeFelice.

Michael Todd Dibble, 19, of Indian Falls Road, Corfu, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Dibble was stopped at 11:35 p.m., Saturday, on Route 5, Town of Batavia, for an alleged traffic violation by Deputy Kevin McCarthy.

A 16-year-old of Pratt Road, Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The youth was charged following a traffic stop on Angling Road, Pembroke, by Deputy Brian Thompson. A 16-year-old passenger in the car was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The 17-year-old driver was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, reckless driving and speeding (90 mph in a 55 mph zone). The reckless driving drive stems from an alleged attempt to elude law enforcement with four passengers in the car.

Gary David Doctor, 28, of East Main Street, Corfu, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unsafe tires. Doctor was stopped on Route 33, Pembroke by Deputy Brian Thompson.

Dylan James Hawkins, 18, of Hilltop Acres, Morrow Road, Pavilion, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Hawkins was reportedly a passenger in a vehicle stopped on East Avenue by Deputy Brian Thompson. The 17-year-old driver, of Bryant Street, Batavia, was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Teriance M. Schramm, 20, of Edwards Street, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. Schramm was allegedly seen on Nov. 15 walking down Ross Street with nunchaku ("nunchucks") in his pocket. He was questioned by Deputy Matt Butler and also found to allegedly possess marijuana.

Summer Ogden, 34, of Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt and disobeying a court order. Ogden was arrested by State Police at 8:32 a.m., Saturday. No further details released.

A motor-vehicle accident with injuries has been reported in the area of 9845 Roanoke Road, Pavilion.

A 19-year-old Silver Springs man is charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving without a license and speeding following a rollover accident in Pavilion early Thursday morning.

Nathan P. Hulme was issued three citations following an investigation by Deputy Frank Bordonaro into the 3:07 a.m. accident on Starr Road.

Neither Hulme nor his 21-year-old passenger James S. Craft were injured.

According to Bordonaro, Hulme was Northbound on Starr Road in a 2004 GMC pickup when he failed to negotiate a curve. The truck hit an embankment, a sign and then overturned and landed on its roof.

A pedestrian has been struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Route 63 in Pavilion.

The accident occurred at 6935 Ellicott Street Road (Route 63) and Route 19.

Pavilion Fire Department is responding. Medics are told to proceed in nonemergency mode.

UPDATE (12:56 p.m.): A coroner is heading to the scene. There are no reports of traffic problems.

UPDATE (1:03 p.m.): It is requested that "Pastor Green" be asked to come to the scene.

UPDATE (2:20 p.m.): The family was notified at 2:07 p.m. All units are back in service. No other information is available yet.

UPDATE 2:40 p.m. (by Howard): A white pickup truck, an older Dodge Ram with an apparent lift kit, struck a female pedestrian in the crosswalk. The truck did stop after striking her. It was parked about 80 yards from the intersection, and it appears its oil pan or similar car part from the undercarriage had been knocked off. At the time we spoke, Sgt. Steve Mullen said next-of-kin in Rochester had not been notified, so the victim had not been publicly identified at that time. The accident is under investigation and no further details are yet available.

UPDATE 4:14 p.m.: The victim has been identified as Dorothy Ring, 84, of Pavilion. Ring was walking across the street, at a crosswalk, Route 63, when she was struck by a 1994 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck driven by Larry A. Cook, 24, of Avon. Cook was northbound on Route 19 when he made a left-hand turn onto Route 63.

The investigation is continuing and possible charges are pending. It is being conducted by Deputy Brian Thompson and Deputy Eric Seppela from the crash-reconstruction team along with Investigator Timothy Weis.

Assisting at the scene were Chief Deputy Jerome Brewster, Sgt. Steve Mullen, Deputy John Baiocco, Genesee County Sheriff's Office Chaplin Phil Green, the Pavilion Volunteer Fire Department and Mercy medical personal.

Douglas Grant Goodwin Jr., 19, of Bank Street, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, 7th, criminal possession of a weapon, 4th, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Goodwin was stopped at 1:30 p.m., Monday, on Sheppard Road, Batavia, for allegedly pulling a trailer without registration or lights by Deputy Brian Thompson. During the stop, Goodwin was allegedly found in possession of marijuana, hydrocodone pills and a double-edged dagger. K-9 "Jay" participated in the investigation.

Gregory Louis Lepsch Jr., 18, of Batavia-Elba Townline Road, Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Lepsch was apparently with Goodwin at the time of the traffic stop at 1:30 p.m., Monday, on Sheppard Road, by Deputy Brian Thompson and K-9 "Jay."

Thomas A. Rebar, 55, of Albion, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Rebar was arrested at 1:10 p.m., Saturday, by State Police, on East Shelby Road, Alabama.

A 16-year-old from Bethany, is charged with menacing, 2nd, using a weapon. The youth was arrested by State Police at 9:15 a.m., Sunday, for an alleged incident in Alexander. No further details were released.

Joshua H. King, 25, of Batavia, is charged with grand larceny, 4th (credit card). King was arrested by State Police at 3:16 p.m., Nov. 5, for an alleged incident two days earlier in the Town of Murray. King was held without bail. No further details were released.

Walter L. Knickerbocker, 53, of Pavilion, is charged with possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance, 7t, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Knickerbocker was arrested by State Police at 9:36 p.m., Nov. 5, on Route 19, Le Roy. No further details were released.

Trevor M. Rich, 29, of 8943 Creek Road, is charged with harassment, 2nd. Rich is accused of verbally threatening a woman at 1:38 p.m., Tuesday. He was jailed on $750 bail.

Markeda Daphne Starks, 19, South Lyon, Batavia, was arrested on a warrant out of Batavia Town Court related to a charge of trespass, 3rd.

Maxwell Raymond Pfendler, 18, of Lake Street Road, Pavilion, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Pfendler was stopped on an alleged traffic violation at 10 p.m., Tuesday, by Deputy Joseph Graff.

Five Genesee County residents have been arrested on various drug charges over the past several weeks, the Local Drug Enforcement Task Force announced.

One person is suspected of dealing drugs, a husband and wife as well as another man are accused of growing marijuana. Another woman is accused of possessing marijuana.

The following arrests were announced:

Anthony Nigro (pictured), 59, of Alexander Road, Alexander. Nigro is charged with criminal possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, 3rd, and criminal sale of a controlled substance, 3rd. Nigro was arrested in September and released on his own recognizance.

Michael D. Myers, 49, of Telephone Road, Pavilion, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana, 2nd, and unlawfully growing marijuana. Myers is accused of possessing more than 16 ounces of marijuana at the time a search warrant was executed on Sept. 13. Myers was released on his own recognizance.

Robie A. Dersham, 41, of Creek Road, Pavilion and Kimberly A. Dersham, 41, of Creek Road, Pavilion, are charged with criminal possesion of marijuana, 4th, and unlawfully growing marijuana. The Dershams were allegedly found in possesion of two ounces of marijuana in September.

Laura L. Pacer, 25, of Jackson Street, Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana. Pacer was allegedly found in possession of two ounces of marijuana following the execution of a search warrant on Oct. 12.

A garage fire was called in several minutes ago at a residence on Route 19 near Cole Road in the Pavilion/Le Roy area.

It sounds like both Pavilion and Le Roy fire departments have responded.

Gary L. Bonk, 34, Gillette Road, Albion, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, 2nd, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, speeding, driving left of pavement markings, and failure to yield to emergency vehicles. Bonk was reportedly seen speeding on Route 98 and passing a car in a no-passing zone on Route 98 at 3:01 a.m. When a patrol car attempted to stop Bonk's car, Bonk reportedly drove it into a ditch and then fled the scene. When Bonk allegedly drove the car into a ditch, his passenger was injured (though the passenger did not seek medical treatment). Bonk was reportedly found later walking on Route 98.

A 17-year-old from Albion was charged with making a punishable false written statement. The youth is accused of signing a false statement regarding an incident involving Gary L. Bonk.

Bryan D. Wright, 50, of Telephone Road, Pavilion, is charged with harassment. Wright was allegedly involved in an incident at 4:25 p.m., Oct.12, at a location on St. Mary's Street, Pavilion. He is accused of grabbing and choking another man during an argument.

Brett Blair, 26, of Batavia, is charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property, 4th, and three counts of forgery, 2nd. Blair was arrested by State Police on Wednesday in regards to an alleged incident Aug. 10 in Greece. It appears to involve credit cards and tokens. No further details were released.

An accident involving a minivan and a pickup truck is reported at routes 63 and 19. The truck is blocking southbound traffic.

One person is said to have a broken arm, another facial injuries.

Pavilion Fire Department and Mercy EMS are responding. An ambulance from Le Roy is also called to respond.

Terrance D. Bauer, 48, of Church Street, Alabama, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, 3rd, and criminal possession of marijuana, 5th. Bauer was taken into custody by the Genesee County Local Drug Enforcement Task Force following the execution of a search warrant at his residence on Oct.15. Bauer was allegedly found in possession of marijuana and a billy club, which he cannot legally possess. Bauer was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment in Town of Alabama Court.

Craig A. Tiberio, 21, of Lathrop Avenue, Le Roy, is charged with assault, 3rd. Tiberio is accused of getting into an argument at a residence on St. Mary's Street, Pavilion, and punching another person in the face causing physical injury.

Robert Adam Barnhart, 25, of East Main Street, Batavia, is charged with grand larceny, 3rd. Barnhart was arrested on a warrant out of Wyoming County.

Aaron John Gugel, 18, of Donahue Road, Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. A K-9 handled by Deputy Brian Thompson reportedly alerted on Gugel's car, parked at 260 State Street.

Sharmice Shantell Gibson, 18, Wood Street, Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. A K-9 handled by Deputy Brian Thompson reportedly alerted on Gibson's car, parked at 260 State Street.

Andrei P. Sliker, 19, of 15 Thorpe St., Batavia, is charged with harassment, 2nd, and criminal contempt. Sliker alleged grabbed and pushed a woman who had a court order of protection against Sliker. Sliker was jailed without bail.

Matthew R. Hinze, 19, of Batavia, is charged with driving while impaired by drugs, loud/inadequate muffler, a license plate violation and unlawful possession of marijuana. Hinze was stopped at 11:09 p.m., Friday, on Route 63 in the Town of Batavia, by Deputy Patrick Reeves.

Jennifer Pearl Hepp, 28, of Walker Avenue, Batavia, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 or higher, aggravated unlicensed operation and driving left of the pavement markings. Hepp was stopped at 2:42 a.m. on Route 238 in Alexander by Deputy Jason Saile.

A 17-year-old from Walker Road, Pavilion, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Walker was charged after a drug-sniffing K-9 reportedly alerted on his vehicle.

Michele Marie Davis, 27, of Wyoming Road, Pavilion, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 or greater and speeding. Davis was stopped at 1:48 a.m., Sunday, on Perry Road in Pavilion by Sgt. Brian Frieday.

Charles William Wilder, 27, of Crane Raod, Oakfield, is charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18 or greater and improper left turn. Wilder was stopped at 2:29 a.m., Sunday, on South Main Street, Oakfield, by Deputy Jason Saile.

Angela A. Snyder, 32, of 432 E. Main St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny. Snyder is accused of shoplifting from the Dollar General.

A car and tractor-trailer accident is reported at route 63 and 246, unknown injuries. Pavilion and Bergen fire departments are responding along with Mercy EMS.

A fire is reported inside the maintenance shop of the Stafford Country Club. The shop is located off Route 5, just east of Route 237.

Stafford and Pavilion fire departments are responding, along with tankers from the Town of Batavia and fire police from Le Roy. South Byron fire is to fill in at the station for Stafford.

There is heavy smoke inside the structure.

UPDATE (5:53 p.m.): Firefighters are warned that there are chemicals stored inside the northeast end of the building. A firefighter says one piece of machinery is on fire but it is almost out. The roof does not need ventilating at this time.

UPDATE (5:57 p.m.): They are going to vent the north end of the building.

UPDATE (6:02 p.m.): The fire is confirmed to be contained to one piece of machinery and it has been dragged outside. Everything is under control. They are releasing some equipment to go back in service.

All available manpower from the Pavilion Fire Department is responding as mutual aid to York to fight a structure fire at 2905 Simpson Road.

Le Roy Fire Department is filling in at the Pavilion hall.

UPDATE (1:10 p.m.): Bethany Fire Department is called to fill in at the Le Roy fire hall.

UPDATE (1:33 p.m.): All Genesee County firefighters are ordered out of the structure. The fire chief reports they are already out and were the last ones out on the second floor.

A two-car collision is reported in Pavilion at routes 19 and 63. There are minor injuries. The traffic signals at the intersection are not working properly.

Pavilion Fire Department is called to respond to a report of power lines down in the area of 6714 Brownell Road, Covington.

The area includes Pavilion's district. A tractor-trailer is said to have caused the damage.

UPDATE (12:46 p.m.): The power pole snapped in two but lines are not in the roadway, which has been shut down. Wyoming County Sheriff's Office has been notified and National Grid, too. A responder says there is no need for medics.

UPDATE (12:51 p.m.): Dispatch clarifies that this accident involves two motor vehicles and the live wires are leaning over the roadway but not down completely.

A two-car accident, with injuries, is reported in Pavilion at the juncture of Telephone and Pavilion Center roads.

Pavilion Fire and Mercy BLS are responding.

UPDATE (3:40 p.m.): First responders say the injuries are not serious. A pregnant woman complains of a bump on her head and an elderly man complains of chest pain/trouble breathing. The accident is blocking the roadway and traffic control is requested.

A Warsaw Central School District van driver said his brakes failed yesterday causing the van he was driving to slam into a Pavilion pizzeria.

Nobody was injured in the 6:43 p.m. accident and no citations were issued.

The van was driven by Jeremy M. Donahue, 21, of Brooklyn Street, Warsaw.

The building struck was Paparoni Pizza, 11090 Route 19, Pavilion.

Witnesses said the van accelerated as it made a turn into the parking lot, and then braked. There were skid marks at the scene.

Chad B. Hanson, 24, was a passenger in the van.
