Gerald A. Dedoszak

Gerald A. Dedoszak, 63, of Varysburg died Wednesday April 1, 2015 peacefully at his home under the loving care of his immediate family and hospice.  He was born February 27, 1952 in Buffalo to John and Helen Beglinger Dedoszak.

Jerry retired from Motorola, Inc. after 35 years of service.  After retirement, he held several part time jobs and owned harness race horses.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching his horses race, working in his yard and woods, and watching the Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees.  He mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Jerry was a proud member of the Varysburg Lions Club, the Wyoming County Veterans Club, Sons of the American Legion, and several harness racing associations.  He was a former member of St. Nicholas RC Church in North Java.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Tamara (Cartwright) Dedoszak; daughters Krystal (Brian) Dominick of Varysburg and Cassandra Shearing of Milwaukee, WI; sister Jeanne (David Schwenkbeck) Eck and brother Steven (Michele) Dedoszak;  sisters-in-law Kimberly (Charles) Schwab and Sueanna Cartwright; brother-in-law Arthur Cartwright; parents-in-law Andrea Lavery, Joseph (Brenda) Lavery and Chyra (Steve Balmas) Bowles, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Jerry was also expecting his first grandchild in June.

Family and friends may call from 10:00AM – 1:00PM and 3:00PM – 7:00PM on Monday April 6, 2015 at Marley Funeral Home, LLC.  135 Main Street Attica, New York 14011.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 10:00AM at the Nativity Lutheran Church on Route 20A in East Aurora. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
