Donald O. Willett

Donald O. Willett, 78 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Monday (January 12, 2015) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.

He was born in Batavia on September 1, 1936, a son of the late William and Grace Lawvey Willett.

Mr. Willett was employed by R.E. Chapin in Batavia for 40 years prior to his retirement and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served his country from 1954 to 1958.  Don was also a member of the Polish Falcons and VFW Veness-Strollo Post of Batavia.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Kaleta Willett.

Survivors include his sister, Marjorie (Michael) Cochrane on Hilton. Nieces, Nancy Klein of Hamlin, Susan (Doug) Jones of Albion. Nephew, Thomas (Lisa) Cochrane of Green Bay, WI. Grand-nephews, Dan Klein of Hamiln, Ryan Jones of Albion and Michael Jones of Brockport. Grand-nieces, Becca Klein of Hamlin and Caytie Cochrane of Green Bay, WI.  Also survived by several dear friends and acquaintances.

There will be no prior visitation.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Grandview Cemetery.
