ELEANOR L. LUCE

ELEANOR L. LUCE - 79, of East Pembroke, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon October 28, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 22, 1934 in Cowlesville, NY to the late Robert and Frieda (Grampp) Humel; also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert & Ernest Humel and Alice Martin.

   Mrs. Luce worked at the former Dohler-Jarvis, Kistner Concrete and Fontrick Door, Inc. She was a member of High Point Community Church, enjoyed old school country and bluegrass music, wild animals, her flower beds and Christmastime. A curious and simple woman who will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, sister and grandmother.

   Surviving are her loving children, Cheryl Luce of Batavia, LeeAnn (Brian) Swimline of East Pembroke and Michael (Ellen Blanc) Luce of Medina; brothers, Gordon (Jackie) Humel of Nashville, TN, Norman (Mary Lou) Humel of East Pembroke, Kenneth (Janet) Humel of Lake Norman, NC; sisters, Elsie Duckworth of Dunkirk, NY, Elfrieda (David) Bridge of Batavia, Shirley Evans of Fillmore and Linda (Steve) Dibble of Batavia; grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew Luce and Patrick Kempie; brother-in-law, Jerry Martin of Batavia; daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Luce of Batavia along with many nieces, nephews and her church family.

   Family and friends may are invited to a Celebration of Eleanor's Life11:00 a.m. Saturday November 8, 2014 at High Point Community Church 1163 Main Road Corfu, New York 14036, celebrated by Pastor Bobby Dean. Memorials in her memory can be made to the church and a private family burial will be in Darien Cemetery.
