ANTOINETTE CIACCIO

ANTOINETTE CIACCIO - Age 88, of Batavia, died peacefully Thursday evening August 28, 2014 at the Batavia Health Care Center. She was born April 20, 1926 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Matteo and Lena (Cicero) Recchio, also preceded in death by her husband, Rico Ciaccio and siblings, Frank, Michael and Ralph Recchio, Helen DiPiazza and Mary Rose Mogavero.

   Antoinette was a lifelong member of Ascension Parish where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister, she was employed for many years at the former Sylvania plant in Batavia.

   Surviving is her loving brother Matthew "Junior" Recchio of West Palm Beach, FL along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

   Family and friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Monday September 1, 2014 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited 9:00 a.m. Tuesday September 2 followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary's Site). Entombment will be in the Monsignor Francis L. Schwartz Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery and memorials in her memory are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
