Robert E. Hilbert

  Robert E. Hilbert 76, of Batavia died Tuesday January 4, 2011 in the Batavia VA Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1934 in Batavia, NY to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Frantz) Hilbert. Mr. Hilbert was retired from National Fuel Gas where he worked for over 30 years. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Glenn S. Loomis American Legion Post #332 and also a member of the Destroyers Escort Sailors Association. Mr. Hilbert enjoyed skiing and making cabinets. He is preceded in death by his brother Frank Hilbert and sister Joan Crimando.  
 
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Eileen M. (Kempie) Hilbert of Batavia, daughters Karen (Greg) Caya of East Aurora, Barb (Scott) Pashong of Batavia, a sister Gloria Clor of California and sister in law Maryann Hilbert of Connecticut.  3 grandchildren Quinn Caya, Eric Hill and Marin/Taj Caya survive along with several nieces and nephews. 
 
There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the Family.
