Crayfish, fossils and water snakes ~ oh the memories, but for me it was along the Oatka Creek. My brothers taught me how to catch crayfish, remove their tails and then go fishing to the "secret" fishing hole. (Once I saw a water moccasin and it scared me half to death. I was about 7 yrs. old and fishing all by myself.)
After a long day of fishing, there was nothing better than jumping off the train trestle (on Cole Rd.) If you were afraid of jumping there was always the triangle that was attached to a rope that was tied to the tree. SWING ~ splash! We always wore old sneakers, too ~ sharp glass and rocks are not kind to bare feet! Ha.
Great photos, again. Thanks. Love to hear you mention Claudia when she was 16. High school sweethearts?! (smile.)
