Today's Poll: What kind of smart phone do you own?

I have a Droid and really like its features. The model I have utilizes a slide-out keyboard which I'd be lost without. Never did I think that texting would be my favored form of communication but it fast became the choice for me over voice. Having web access on the phone is nice but mobile-browsers and sites have a lot to be desired so I just tether the phone to the laptop for internet access. The 3 megapixel camera is "okay" which means it's really crappy. The phone needed an extended use battery which I got on amazon and the battery even came supplied with a new back plate.

I've seen plenty of iPhones and can't think of any reason to pay more for one over a Droid. iPhones are expensive and their service plans are unbelievably expensive. My Droid cost $150 and there's no service contract. $45/month gets me unlimited texts, voice and data. I can't even have a land-line phone in the house for that price so the Droid is all I use.

The form factor is too small for my aging eyes. I have an eight year old Tracfone for talking, an 10" android tablet for convience, a laptop and two desktop at home for business and pleasure. I also run a PC repair business as I was laid off from Kodak in 2004. I have been in the computer maintenance business for over 42 years, starting in 1970 as a young pup fresh out of the Air Force.

Why Mr. Hunt that would be waaaaaay back in the day when you had to program your irq's to keep the mouse and modem from conflicting w each other. No wait, the 70's thats back when Zork first came out for ibm pc dos I dont believe we had modems back then and cassette tapes were a form of media for getting programs into the box then too LOL
