Today's Poll: How good will the Bills be this year?

By Howard B. Owens

I'm with Bob on this one......historically a .500 team. I don't think the coach will be around to see the end of the season either.

I would be shocked if this team reaches .500, penalties, turnovers, poor play from the qb position will doom this team like every season since Kelly retired.
To be successful in the NFL, a team needs a solid qb, the Bills are no where near
having even a fair qb.
Hope I'm wrong, but watching the first team offense in pre season was all I needed
to make me say, "wait till next year", again.
Anyhoo, in 5 years they will take their shoddy play to another city, only to find out there was no curse, they just suck.
GO SABRES !!!

Frank, because of all the unwanted pictures on the front page, I had to dig deep to find your comment - I hope you do the same.

Certainly questions remain about Manuel, but I look at it differently than you. MAYBE, just maybe, he will be the QB the management thinks he can be. We've not seen proof of that yet, but the first 5 games will tell the story.

Stay hopeful!!

Bob. Like Howard, I'm perplexed at what you mean by "unwanted pictures".

I can only assume you mean the 'paid-for' advertisements, which allow this site to exist, at no cost to it's readers (or commenters, such as you and me).

Also perplexing is your statement, "Frank, because of all the unwanted pictures on the front page, I had to dig deep to find your comment ..."

As Frank's comment was the 3rd one under the heading "Recent comments", I was wondering just what you meant by "dig hard".

I would hope that, by now, you realize that the most recent comments can be found easily by scrolling down the left-hand side of the front page.

Hope this was helpful (not that you asked for help, mind you).

Wishing you & others a good week!

Other news outlets provide links to pictures rather than make all readers scroll through pages and pages of pics they may or may not be interested in in order to read content, Howard.

And other news outlets don't get as much traffic as The Batavian, marketsize-to-marketsize.

Other news outlets have horrible site architecture that use links instead of just putting everything on the home page, where it belongs.

If I ran my business like other news outlets, I wouldn't have a business.

We're all one community, and all of one community's news should be on the home page, not hidden behind links.

Nothing is buried. All you have to do is scroll.

Frankly, if you're truly part of a community, everything is of interest.

Otherwise, just scroll. But don't expect us to tailor news to a narrow interest. A community news site is a general news site.
