Snow plow needed to reach CO poisoning victim on Route 20, Darien

A person in a vehicle has reportedly suffered CO poisoning on Route 20 in Darien. The ambulance is unable to reach the location and a snow plow is requested to respond.

UPDATE 3:19 p.m.: We've heard no further updates on this situation.

One thing that they forget to tell stranded motorists in snow storms is to make sure that your exhaust pipe is clear of snow because this will cause co poisoning.

People should keep the following in their vehicles, around this area, during winter months:

Blankets
Flashlight and spare batteries
Small shovel - for keeping the tailpipe clear of snow to prevent CO poisoning
Small amount of food
Bottled water
Spare battery for cell phone
Candles - to conserve flashlight battery life
