A two-car accident with possible minor injuries is reported on Clinton Street Road, Batavia, in front of Terry Hills Golf Course.
The accident is blocking.
Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy EMS responding.
UPDATE 10:21 a.m.: One lane blocked. Debris in roadway. One person complaining of neck pain.
UPDATE 10:34 a.m.: One patient being transported to UMMC.
UPDATE 10:51 a.m.: Town of Batavia fire back in service.
I have to say this one does
I have to say this one does not surprise me! I live in Country Meadows (across from Terry Hills) and every day when I turn on my signal to pull into the driveway, people go flying by off the side of the road instead of slowing down and waiting for me to turn. Also, pulling out of the driveway onto 33 turns into a nightmare because cars pull around on the shoulder coming straight at me if any of the homeowners on 33 are turning right into their driveway. How reckless can one be to pass on the right when one is turning right??
Passing on the right when I turn left is one thing but just last week I had one do it and almost take out my front passenger quarter panel because they did not want to go far enough passed me to safely clear my car's length. As I blew my horn to alert this driver of his close proximity to my car, he drove back up from the shoulder on 33, sprayed my car with the rocks and debris from the shoulder and then *graciously* raised their arm from the driver's window to flip me off..the kicker? The van turned on it's right hand t/s only to pull into a house on the right side of 33 just the other side of Terry Hills.
Really has our life become so rushed that drivers are willing to risk not only their lives but those of complete strangers? I have already been there and done that with someone who was in such a hurry that they side swiped my vehicle and broke my lower back. Thanks to THAT driver I live with titanium rods and two fake discs in my back, permanent nerve damage and daily pain and muscle spasms. I am 30. I would really like to live my life in the best way I can without someone else deciding my quality of life for me...just a thought
