Pedestrian struck by car on Ross Street

A pedestrian has been hit by a car in the area of 224 Ross St., Batavia.

There are injuries. No indication yet how serious.

City fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

UPDATE 3:57 p.m.: A person was transported to UMMC. There was an unrelated accident at 138 Ross Street shortly after this call. It was a property damage hit-and-run with the suspect vehicle last seen northbound but no description was provided.

Howard did you happen to hear anything as to why there were 2 City of Rochester Police cars with their lights on in the Spirts parking lot in LeRoy around 10am today? They seemed to be the only ones in the parking lot but were entering the building.

I just don't know how they would have jurisdiction was all, even in an active chase when town/county/state lines are crossed a hand off to local officals is usually called for so being that there were not local officers there in sight any way peaked my curiosity.
