Does anyone have an idea of how much the bill is each time Mercy flight has to perform a transport and who has to pay that bill? Helicopter maintenance is expensive, the fuel and the crew isn't cheap, either.

Being flown in a Mercy Flight helicopter by no means is cheap...but that expensive flight could mean the difference between paying for Mercy's bill or your family paying for funeral expenses! The cost of your life or a family members life should not be measured by how much a helicopter ride is. Mercy Flight depends on peoples' donations to keep their company up and running! And speak to an employee in the medical field.....they are by no means millionares!!
