John Matthew Stassen, 67, of Moscow Road, Hamlin, is charged with petit larceny. Stassen is accused of stealing a gas can full of gas from a vehicle that was parked in the Batavia Downs parking lot at 7:32 p.m., Aug. 26.
Knowing how that place operates, he probably did not any money left to buy gas to get home!!
HOWARD! Doug Y's picture is on the Facebook edition of this story as if HE stole the gas!!!!!!!
Doug, maybe *DING* is the magic word of the day or something?
Lol Lori, he stole the gasoline from me. I filled the gas can and had it tied to the tool box in the bed of the pickup truck. He was seen taking it from the truck on video. They then followed him back into the casino (on video) and to the machine he was playing with his club card. I've a feeling that this is going to be an expensive 5 gallons. $4 per gallon is going to seem like a bargain when it's all done.
Don't forget all the administrative and punative fees we came up with Doug.... Heck we should all be in county govt with all the money grabbing ideas we had lol.
Can't say I've ever seen the crime victim in the headlines rather than the criminal! If you're o.k. with it, then so am I, lol!
Lori, I think it's pretty funny. I'm fine with it
Doug, didn't he say something like he was having a crappy day so he wanted someone else to also? SMH.
The way it was explained to me, that's exactly the excuse he gave. I don't get it, and neither do most people. *shrug*
Yes, and Hamlin is a little bit of a ride home without gas. It was a little bit of a ride to
get here, just to donate to Batavia Downs.
Lori, are you saying Doug looks 67????
How the place operates? It really sucks not to win, but nobody is forced to keep shoving their money into the machine. Gamblers can't blame the casino any more than a criminal can blame the victim.
"Hey, if he didn't have the gasoline unlocked in the back of his truck, I never would've taken it!"
Grow a pair..everything is a choice, so take responsibility for what you do.
