A new dodgeball league is forming in Pembroke. This league is for people 18 and over looking to get some exercise and have some fun. This league will run for 7 weeks starting January 21. Play is on Saturday nights. There is room for 12 teams. If you want to play and do not have a team. Sign up and we will put you on a team. Registration is due by January 13th. Members of the Museum Quilt Guild were invited to the "Carnival" for this year's challenge. Twenty-three quilts by twenty-one members were presented at the January 21 meeting, and will be on display at the Richmond Memorial Library during regular hours during the month of February. A variety of techniques and colors were used to create quilts depicting carousel horses and other rides, Mardi Gras themed quilts, and fond memories. A Chinese auction and pancake breakfast to benefit the Byron Volunteer Fire Department will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the fire hall. It is located on Route 262, just east of Route 237 in the Hamlet of Byron.
