A rousingly spooky (but not scary) Halloween celebration. It's the perfect occasion for elaborate marionettes (string puppets) expertly brought to life, to bring out the mischief and fun of this special holiday. Fun for all ages!

Please join us for the 3rd Annual Petco Halloween Pet Costume Party at the Batavia Petco in the Target Plaza, this Saturday, October 29 at 2 pm. Arrive early. Registration begins at 1:45 p.m.
Bring your pet (dog, cat, bunny, ferret, bird) dressed in a fun or scary costume for a chance to win gift certificates, toys and treats. Pet costumes will be judged on originality/creativity, attention to detail and how well they suit your pet's personality.
No purchase necessary. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
Boy Scout Spagetti Dinner 10/29/11 4-7pm Elba Recreation Hall
Oakfield United Methodist Church will host its annual Pork Dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Menu: Pork, dressing, potatoes, sauerkraut, carrots, dessert and drink.
Adults - $9. Kids under 5 - $4. Eat in or take out. Call 948-5550 for tickets or info.
There will be a spaghetti dinner and raffles to benefit the Ireland family from 6 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. Brigid Church Hall in Bergen.
The church is located at 18 Gibson St.
Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children, and children under 2 pay nothing. Cost per family is $30. Contact Jan Bausch for tickets and reservations, including the number of diners, at 315-2717.

Prayers for Patty Ireland will be said at 6 p.m. followed by a spaghetti dinner, raffles and a 50/50 raffle.
Patty remains in serious condition at Strong Memorial Hospital following a serious traffic accident on Sept. 30. It occurred on Route 19 near the Thruway while she was heading to work. Her Chevy Impala was struck head on by a tractor-trailer hauling gravel.
Funds raised will help the family with medical expenses.
