You may be still 100 miles from Cornell, but on Thursday, October 20, you can feel just steps away from the Hill by attending Zinck's Night. Cornell’s Cayuga’s Waiters, an all male a cappella group, will make a return trip to O’Lacys for an evening of music along with great Cornell fellowship and banter. Donations will be accepted! The Batavia Music and Arts Advocacy Group (B-MAA) will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the GO ART! building in Downtown Batavia.
At the last meeting on Sept. 21, the newly formed group discussed its purpose. The attendees also talked about the possible consolidation of the Batavia Elementary School buildings and how these changes could affect the arts programs within the school district.
The group is working to format a plan of action to bring awareness to the community, reach out to the Batavia Board of Education as well as the administration, and engage in advocacy efforts at concerts and school events.
Anyone who has a love and passion for the arts in encouraged to attend.
