Today's Poll: Should there be an urgent care facility in Batavia?

Anthony, there will actually be two.

And Le Roy is 15, 20 minutes away, and when you really want to see a doctor in a hurry, but non-emergency, do you want to go that far?

I sometimes suspect some of the ambulance calls I hear on the scanner would be better handled by the patient getting him or herself somehow to an urgent care facility, if there was one.

I was pretty baffled a few months ago to discover there was no urgent care in Batavia. To me, for a population this size, that should just be standard operating procedure.

I don't get UMMC opening a facility in Le Roy when Lakeside Hospital is already going in with one, and Batavia has none.

When I asked my caregiver about Batavia getting an urgent care center, they told me that the fast track at the emergency room at UMMC was the Batavia Urgent care center.

I think there needs to be one out near Pembroke too.
