Today's Poll: Should Batavia consider installing red light cameras at some intersections?

Cameras can be useful tools, especially when it come to "who is at fault" at an intersection accident when there are no witnesses. I would really hate to see cameras being used to ticket people for blowing a red light or rolling through a stop sign. Personally, I do try to follow the rules most of the time. More habit than anything. I do like to go fast though!
What would the cost of cameras compare to the cost of police? Maybe if we install enough cameras we won't need police at all? Keep one or two to mail summons and clean camera lenses.
You know, maybe we should look into using Govt spy sattelites too? That would make our streets alot safer! Could they see right in our windows? Another base covered then. Yep, now we can prove you pee'd on the seat!
Guess it's time to put some thought into new drapes for the windows? Maybe along the lines of an "Iron Curtain"?

I bet u wished u had a servailence camera in ur driveway the other nite. They do have drawbacks but i dont see a problem when they are in public places. I am more against the cost versus the benefit.
