Today's Poll: Is the reported leak of personnel information an important issue?

By Howard B. Owens
Charlie Mallow

Gabor, you are seeing the result of a destructive action. The analogy would be to look up at a mushroom cloud and complain about the smoke. What caused the smoke is the real issue.

Someone on our small town Council shared someone’s private personal information as a way of hurting another person, that is a fact. That is also a public issue and at last count 60% of people have an interest, 73% also think it's serious issue. Howard and the rest of the people in the local media earn a living filling that public need. The media will keep at it until the public interest is satisfied. Interest grows because of the lies and cover-up. The smart thing to do is to admit the mistake and the interest will fade quickly.

Thank goodness that once this is resolved the people who are complaining will stop and it will be kiss kiss in batavia and parades for city council ! Its quite a bit more juicy news then the two people convicted of harming a young child and sentenced in another news post. I do agree what happened is wrong but come on ? I guess if the ethics for the city council are so "lucy goosey" I dont blame you for not running again Mr. Mallow. (I say that with utmost respect) !
