We discovered a new local blogger this week: Tyler Barrett. He's a young, aspiring fiction writer. In an e-mail, he told me he's looking for other younger writers in the area who want to work on growing and learning together.

My roommate is an English major, transferring into UB to get his Bachelors and possibly Cornell for his Masters. The end goal is to be a college English professor.
He has an account on this site. I'll bring this this to his attention.

Tyler is only 12!!!!
I read his first 5 parts of "The Night People" and it is pretty solid for anybody that age. I didn't read his bio until after I finished and was surprised to know his age. His writing is very clean and the subjects are vivid.
His blog is definitely a bookmark.

Tyler is a very talented young man.
I sent this link to my son in Florida. He has a Writing Arts degree and a Master's in English and teaches Creative Writing at a college in Florida. I know that he will enjoy Tyler's stories and his enthusiasm for the creative process.

Tyler's writing skills are well beyond that of a twelve year old. My hat is off to you Tyler !! Keep up the good work, and you will go far. You possess a talent few people aquire even after their college years. Very well written.
