A dump truck is on fire and reportedly "fully involved" near the intersection of Genesee road and Boyce Road in Corfu.

After corfu fire was unsuccessful at getting a full crew to respond pembroke indian falls was mutual aided. upon our arrival the dump truck was well down a stone driveway with several obstacles on all sides of it. The driver of the truck was actually lost and ended up down this driveway where he then struck a telephone pole knocking it over potentially causing the fire when the live main power line struck the truck, with a corn field on one side of the truck and a heavily wooded area on the other and the power lines directly above the truck. the fire then melted the gas tank causing fuel to further ignite the fire. the fire was initially contained but then national grid advised us to discontinue efforts until the power line above the truck could be disconnected because it was a high voltage line but there was very minor extension from that point on.

Actually what Bruce failed to mention is that the Corfu fire was successful at getting a crew whether it was a full crew or not and he also failed to mention that afew firefighters from East Pembroke were also at this scene, seeing as how a member of the East Pembroke Fire Department resides there. I should know because i am also a Member of the East Pembroke Fire Dept, and called the person who lives there when i heard the call come through. as for his assessment of the scene he is accurate on what all happened.
