Three-car collision, with injuries in Bethany

A possibly serious three-car motor-vehicle accident is reported at 5870 Ellicott Street Road in Bethany. There are injuries.
Bethany fire, Mercy EMS are responding.
Mercy Flight is on in-air standby.
UPDATE (3:10 p.m.): Mercy Flight is going to the scene. A landing zone is suggested in the parking lot of the Immaculate Conception Church.
UPDATE (3:50 p.m.): The accident scene is cleared and the roadway is re-opened.
UPDATE (4:55 p.m.): In reply to a question from emergency personnel, dispatch says Mercy Flight went to Strong Memorial Hospital.

why is there no more info on this?? we can here about a taxey in NYC jumping the curb but cant find out what happen in your own county

The information was all that was heard on the scanner about the accident. There was such a long time between the original post and the updates because scanner traffic was tied up with the Stafford house fire, which occurred around the same time.
As yet, no accident report has been issued.
We will check to see if we can get further information about the victims.

We do not publish information about New York City taxi cabs jumping curbs because we do not cover the Big Apple, just Genesee County to the best of our ability. If a taxi jumped a curb here and it was heard on the scanner, we might post it, depending on what else was going on at the time.
