While the demo company and equipment was in town for the Wiss, they should have taken out this building, the one immediately to it's east and then crossed the street and tackled the brick disaster on the opposite corner. Unbelievable what property owners can get away with subject to maintenance of property in LeRoy. All of this within a stones throw of the LeRoy Historical Society (aka LeRoy House) and the Little League facility.
Pot bust in Le Roy prompted Wolcott School to 'shelter' students

A search warrant was executed at a property within view of Wolcott Street Elementary School in Le Roy this morning, prompting school administration to issue a stay-put order -- known as "shelter in place" but not a complete lock down of the facility.
The measure was taken so that children would not witness Le Roy Police and the Local Drug Enforcement Task Force raid a house where they suspected marijuana was being grown.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m., law enforcement conducted the action and took one person into custody. There were no weapons fired or injuries. Once the operation ended, the school day continued as normal.
Its nice to see the police dept take in consideration that these kids don't need to see this especially elementary grade levels. in many cases they already see to much at home.
if the cops were really so worried about what the children would see, they could have pulled off this operation on SATURDAY.......make sense to anyone else?
OY, it figures.
